“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬                                       We are in a time when sin is not only abounding, but it is being condoned and encouraged. How critical it is that we hold on to the truth of God’s Word, and love Him supremely, so that we can endure to the end.

“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.”   Isaiah‬ ‭54:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We go through many difficult things in this world, and there is much change. Yet of this we can be sure, the mercy and kindness of our God towards us will never change! He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

“I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…!”
Galatians 2:20
May God help us that we get self out of the way, that it be ‘Christ in us’ that others see! He said “When I am lifted up I will draw all me unto Me”. May we lift Him up everyday in our lives, in our words, in our attitudes, and in our worship.

“For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” Psa‬ ‭73:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This is what happens when we get our eyes on people, rather than Jesus. We begin to imagine that they are doing well without Christ. That their lives are easier or better. But let us remember, this life is not the end. There is a day of reckoning coming for all souls.

“I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭85:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We are reminded here of a couple reasons why we should be listening to God. First, He wants to speak peace to us. He wants to share His perfect peace with us. Then, it is by listening to Him that we are kept from turning back to sin.

“I will hear what God the LORD will speak…”.
Psalms ‬ ‭85:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Are we really listening? When we open our Bibles, when we hear that sermon or lesson, or read that devotional, are we truly hearing what God wants to say to us? Do we realize this is for me personally? This applies to my life and to my heart and soul. Let us determine to hear what God is saying to us.

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”    II Cor‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭NKJV
God’s purpose is that we triumph IN Christ, so that through our lives others will see Christ. Diffusing the fragrance of His knowledge is living so that people see Jesus in us. May God help us to be those humble vessels in which He can be seen.

The key words here, and the key to spiritual victory, is ‘IN CHRIST’. He is our victory. It is only the life that abides in Christ that can walk in victory. That means every day being IN a real relationship with Him, staying IN His Word, living IN His will, and abiding IN His love.

“Pilate said to them, “What then shall I do with Jesus Who is called Christ?” They all said to him, “Let Him be crucified!”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
There is no greater question we face. What will we do with Jesus? When it comes down to it, every soul will either crown Him or crucify Him. There are no other options. He cannot be our Saviour unless we crown Him as Lord of our lives.

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…”. Daniel‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many people fail to understand that a life of holiness and purity does not happen by accident. That while God does what we cannot do, He also expects us, even more, He requires us to do what we can! So we must purpose in our hearts to live pure before Him. We must strive to walk in holiness before Him. We must daily live to please Him.
