“But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Many times in life we go through difficult times and we hang our head. Maybe it’s from weariness or discouragement, but we find ourselves looking down rather than up. But when we glory in our Lord, HE is the One Who lifts up our head! He gives us His own strength and courage. What a merciful and loving Saviour we have!

10/9/19

“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This is the experience Christ has for everyone who will fully open their heart and life to Him. When He, the Indwelling Christ, becomes our strength, we will always have sufficient resources for everything we face. When it “is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me.” Then He is our strength.

10/8/19

“But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”   Matt‬ ‭8:26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.                                    Life has many storms. We all face troubles and trials that seem to threaten us and cause us to fear. But may we remember, that Jesus is the Master of the storm! And it is faith in Him that will give us peace and carry us safely through.

10/7/19

“The LORD is your keeper…The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.”   Psalms‬ ‭121:5, 7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Important people in this world have bodyguards. But we, as God’s children, have so much more. We have our LORD! We have the Almighty God to keep watch over us, to guard us and to preserve our souls. Let us trust Him to keep us everyday.

10/6/19

“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
As sinners and rebels against God, we were all spiritually dead. We were separated from the life of God. But now, in Christ, Who is our life, we have been made alive! We are born again and growing, because we are alive to God, and alive to His will and purposes. We should thank God everyday for the gift of life.

10/5/19

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Created for glory. We were created to live a life in personal fellowship with God that will bring glory to God. We were not made for sin and selfishness and all the evil of this world. And it’s only as we fulfill our creative purpose that our lives can experience the joy and satisfaction that our Creator intends. Let’s live for God’s glory.

10/4/19

“I have chosen the way of truth: Thy judgments have I laid before me.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬
In order for us to walk in truth, we must choose the way of truth. We must choose to set God’s Word and His will before our eyes, before our minds, and before our own will. Most today walk in error and deception because they choose to set their own will before God’s. May God help us to choose Him, because He is truth.

10/3/19

“Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
‭‭1 Thess‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
This verse has to do with our witness before others. Certainly God knows our hearts and our motives, but others can only see our actions. We must be careful that the things we do, do not represent the wrong things to people around us. If we participate in things that ‘appear’ to be evil, then those who watch us and follow us will consider that we approve it.

10/2/19

“Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.”
‭‭I Thess‬ ‭5:20-21‬ ‭NKJV.     ‬‬ True prophecy has to do with the expression of divine truths. Because there are many who claim to prophecy, we are cautioned, to ‘test and examine them’. To make sure they line up with God’s Word and His revealed will. Only that which is of God should we keep! Not the opinions of men, but the sure Word of God.

10/1/19

“Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.”                    Psa‬lms ‭79:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬                                            Notice the heart cry of the Psalmist: Help us, deliver us, and cleanse us. This desire reveals a part of the work of God in our souls. He creates within us a desire for purity and deliverance from the power of sin. And thank God, that what He initiates in us, He also provides the means to fulfill.
