“Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace…” 2 Kings 7:9 KJV. After these men found the great store of food and provision left in the enemy camp, they realized they also had a responsibility to tell the good news and share with their starving people what they had found. They knew that other lives depended upon them sharing this good news. But how much more is this true of us who have found this great salvation in Jesus Christ? Certainly we should all recognize when Jesus saves us, that this is a day of good tidings! This is the most wonderful thing any soul can ever experience. Our hungry and thirsty souls that were searching for satisfaction have finally been satisfied! Our souls that were dead in trespasses and sins have been made alive in Christ. And yet, all around us are spiritually starving souls who are searching still. They are going down the broadway of destruction with no one to care for their souls. May God help us to share the good news of what we have found in Jesus Christ! Let us tell others that God has provided all that we need for our hungry souls to be satisfied. And like we have, they can find true life in Him.
