“Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble; Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.” Psalm 32:7 KJV. What a joy it is for God’s children to know we have a secure hiding place, a strong shelter from the storm in our Blessed Lord. Truly He is our Strong High Tower where no enemy can harm us. And it is He Who is able to preserve us from trouble. But this does not mean that trouble will never touch our lives. His Word tells us that ‘man’s days are few and full of trouble’. And Jesus said “All they that live Godly will suffer persecution”. But the good news is, God promises to keep our souls from being harmed. The trouble may deeply affect our physical lives, but God will always safeguard our soul. And even more, He will use the trouble to teach us and draw our hearts closer to Him. When we, by faith, recognize God’s gracious dealings with us, keeping us, protecting us and delivering us, then we will praise Him with songs of deliverance.
