”And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.“ Jeremiah 18:4 KJV. What a marvelous thing it is that our Heavenly Potter is so long suffering and patient with the clay of our lives. Many times we experience problems in our lives that cause our vessel to be marred or damaged. Sometimes it is our own failure and other times it is the sins of others which we allow to bring damage upon our lives. But thank God, our Potter does not throw the clay away! In His infinite mercy He keeps working in our lives and brings healing to the wounds we have. And we should know, that He is the Only One Who can fix what is broken in our hearts and lives. He alone has the power to heal and restore our souls. As we consider this we should realize that all around us are souls whose lives are damaged by sin. Everywhere we look we see hearts that are broken and spirits which are bruised. And sadly, they are trying desperately to fix themselves or find someone or something in this world to fix them. And our main job as Christians is to help point needy souls to Jesus Christ, because He alone can fix them. But when they come to Jesus He will minister the healing they need. What a joy to be able to tell others, that Jesus is the Healer and Restorer that we all need.
