(Part 1) “I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: Refuge failed me; No man cared for my soul.” Psalm 142:4 KJV. As David was being pursued by King Saul for so long, he finally grew weary in spirit. He felt discouraged and overwhelmed by everything that was against him. Struggling with all of this, at last he concludes, “no man cares for me.” But let us realize, this was another lie that satan was trying to convince him of, just like he does with us today. The reality was, David had some loyal and devoted men who cared deeply for him. They were willing to risk their lives to keep him safe. But his discouragement blinded him to that reality. There are times in our lives that we feel much like David. It seems we are in the battle alone and no one understands or cares. But let us be sure, there is always someone who cares! And even if we can’t find anyone close on a human level, we can always be certain that Jesus is seated at the Father’s right hand making intercession for us. And He does this because He cares. Dear ones, never believe the enemy’s lie, that no one cares. Jesus Christ loves you and cares so much that He went to that old rugged cross for you
