“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast…”
Hebrews‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
This is speaking of our hope in Jesus Christ. It is a hope that is so real, and so secure, that it is like an anchor for the soul! When difficult times come, when the storms of life threaten, we shall not be moved, because we are anchored on Christ. But it is a hope we must ‘lay hold upon’ as the previous verse says. We must make the choice to trust Jesus and keep holding on, no matter what comes.

“But now thus saith the Lord…Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬
If it had been some fallible man who called us and redeemed us, then we might have reason to fear. But it is God Himself Who has bought us with a price! And in doing this He has made a covenant that He will take care of us, watch over us and provide all of our needs. What joy and comfort this brings when we know that our God will not, yea, He cannot fail!

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace…” Jn‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬
We should know that our only real peace is IN Jesus Christ. He is our peace. But He spoke these things, He gave us His Word, so that through His spoken and written Word we could know how to enter in to and remain in, a relationship with Him that secures our constant peace. May we open our hearts and minds daily to His Word.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
How often in our times of crisis we wear ourselves out trying to do what we were never meant to do. Which is, to carry all that heavy load of worry, fear and anxiety. But thank God we have a Burden Bearer Who calls us to bring it all to Him. We can come to Jesus and find rest.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isa.‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
What a joy it is to be able to turn our hearts and minds to our Loving Father, and know Who He is, what He has done, and how much He loves and cares for us. In these times it is so important to keep our focus upon Him, because He is our only peace. Look to Him, give your attention to Him, and trust Him. Then His peace will fill your hearts.

‬‬“Fear not, little flock…” Luke‬ ‭12:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus spoke these words after telling us that our Father in Heaven knows all of our needs and cares for us. He said to keep our perspective right, always seek first the things of God, and then these earthly things would be taken care of. There is no fear when we know that we have a Perfect Father watching over us and He is first in our lives.

“But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me…” II Tim 4:17‬ ‭NKJV
May we each discover what the Apostle Paul had proven true. That no matter what happens, no matter what comes my way, my Lord will be with me and supply all of my needs! Even in this fearful day, when so many are panicking, we can be sure that Jesus will be with us. He promised to never leave us nor forsake us!‬‬ May we stand with Him as He does with us.

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you…fear not, nor be dismayed…”
2 Chronicles 20:17‬ ‭KJV
Many times in Christian life our battle is to be still, to hold steady while God does what we cannot. ‬‬Now is such a time for God’s people. Let us be fervent in prayer, steady in our everyday lives, and God’s grace will lift us above the fear.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psa‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬
When we walk with the Lord and He is our strength, what reason do we have to fear anyone or anything else? Let us remember that everything the enemy uses to bring fear upon us, our Lord has already triumphed over it!

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me…”. Psalms‬ ‭23:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
There are times in our lives when it seems like our days are covered by a shadow of death. But even then, we do not have to fear, IF we know that God is with us! Being sure of His presence will cancel all fear. May we live each moment so that our Holy God can dwell with us.
