“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.” Psa‬ ‭9:10‬
It is only those who seek God that truly come to know His name. In seeking Him we discover that He is trustworthy. He is loving and kind and merciful. And He will never forsake those who love Him.

“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
II Cor‬ ‭7:1‬   The promises of God that we find in His Word are the foundation of our hope for spiritual cleansing. He promises power to every willing soul, that sin’s guilt can be removed  and the bondage of every sin broken. But first, we must believe and have a true desire to be clean.

“Look on my right hand and see, For there is no one who acknowledges me; Refuge has failed me; No one cares for my soul. I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, “You are my refuge and my portion…” Psa‬ ‭142:4-5‬
In the loneliest hours of his life, when David thought no one else cared for him, even then he found that God was his refuge and satisfying portion. Our God is always enough!

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psa 55:22. When we bring our burdens, our cares, our worries to God, He will sustain us.  He will keep us and support us. Part of ‘casting our burdens’ is being willing to let go. “Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle.” ‭‭Psa‬ ‭43:3‬ ‭
God is so faithful to send us His truth and light! He teaches us and shows us the right way, which always leads to Him. But the question is: ‘Are we following?’ Are we yielding to His truth and being led, or are we going our own way?

“Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.” Psa‬ ‭112:4‬ ‭
When we walk with Jesus, His light will always shine upon us and through our lives. The world may be dark, and we may go through dark times, but walking in daily relationship with Him Who is THE Light, assures us that His light will overcome all the d

”This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Heb 10:16-17
God’s purpose in saving us was to remove the guilt AND break the power of sin over us, so that we could be brought into a relationship with Him. To do that, He changes our very desires so that we want to please Him. What a mighty God He is!

“that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,”. Phil‬ ‭2:15‬

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” ‭‭Jn‬ ‭13:35‬ ‭
This is the greatest evidence that we truly are God’s children! Do we love one another? Do we love the unlovely? Do we love our enemies? Without love we have nothing. May we open our hearts to the great love of God!
