“For Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.”
‭‭II Cor‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭NKJV                                              Have we ever been truly sorry to God? Most today are sorry only for the consequences of their sin or sorry that they got caught. But Godly sorrow is being sorry towards a Holy God Who loves us. Sorry we have wounded and grieved Him. This is the only sorrow that leads to repentance, salvation and a true change in life.

7/20/19

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Cor‬ ‭6:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
As redeemed children of God, our lives are not are own. We belong to God. Because of His great love for us, He has purchased us by the precious blood of Jesus.
All that we have and all that we are, are His to do with as He will. May we rest in the knowledge that He will take care of His own.

7/19/19

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Pet 5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
What a joy and comfort to know that our Saviour wants us to bring all our burdens and cares to Him! And when we do, we can be sure that He is our great Burden Bearer. He is well able to deal with all those things that weigh us down and overburden us. Let us cast all our cares on Him.

7/18/19

“Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.”                 Psa‬ ‭57:1‬ ‭KJV
Thank God He is always merciful to us! And we can trust Him, in good times and bad. We can find refuge in Him, like a little chick runs under the wings of it’s mother. ‬‬And soon, all of these troubles in this world will be past. May our souls trust in Him.

7/17/19

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”. John‬ ‭10:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Do we hear His voice? The proof that we truly hear Jesus’ voice is, that we follow Him. But to hear His voice, we must listen. We must pay attention. We must have such a high regard for what He says, that we listen to His voice above all other voices. Let us hear and follow Jesus.

7/16/19

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord…” Hos‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
So many people come to a superficial belief ‘about’ God and stop there. That leaves them confused about life and so many things. But when we press on to an intimate personal relationship with Christ, then we come to ‘know’ His heart towards us. Then we know that He is truly in control. Then we know that He is working all things for our eternal good. It is our greatest privilege to know Him.

7/15/19

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”  I John‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
To walk in the light is to live each moment of every day conscious of what is right and by God’s Spirit within, choosing to do the right thing. That is the path to joy and peace. May we be ready and willing to walk in the light.

7/14/19

“that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”.  I Pet‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.
True faith is more valuable than anything in this world. It will be tested so that we know and others know that it is genuine. As we endure the tests it brings glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

7/13/19

““Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”
‭‭Isa 1:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.      This is part of the miracle of real salvation. When we put our faith in Christ, and repent of our sins, His precious blood will wash our hearts and make us clean! What a joy to know, that He can forgive all our sins and make us new creatures in Christ.

7/12/19

“For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah‬ ‭57:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
This is God’s promise to those who truly are sorry for their sin and live humbly before Him. He will dwell with us and revive our hearts.
