Month: October 2019

10/22/19

“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.          .Deut‬ ‭33:27‬ ‭NKJV
I will be out of country several days on a mission trip. No internet. I pray that God’s strong arms will keep you and draw you close to Him

10/21/19

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
The peace that Jesus gives to His children, is a peace that this world can’t take away. It is abiding peace because we abide in Him and He in us. The only thing that can disturb this peace is if we make a sinful and selfish choice. May we cherish His peace so much that each moment is lived to please Him.

10/20/19

“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Confidence in ourselves is a dangerous thing in spiritual life. Thinking that we can handle things, that we are strong enough always leads to failure. But when we humbly acknowledge that our sufficiency is of God, then victory will be ours.

10/19/19

““Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
What great blessings are ours when we truly set our love upon Christ! He will deliver, He will lift us up, He will give us the privilege to know Him in personal relationship. May God help us to love Him with ALL of our heart, soul, mind and strength.

10/18/19

“If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us…”.             Num‬ ‭14:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
These were Joshua’s words to Israel when they hesitated to go in to the land of promise. He knew, what we all should know today. Which is, that all of our spiritual success depends upon the favor of our God resting on us. So let us ask ourselves, “Does the Lord delight in me?” If so, nothing will be impossible. If not, may we humble ourselves and repent so He can smile on us.

10/17/19

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”  Psalms‬ ‭84:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Nothing good will God withhold from us when we walk uprightly. That means walking in His ways and not our own. It means walking in the Spirit and not in our flesh. But best of all, it means walking with Him in personal relationship.

10/16/19

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”   Romans‬ ‭12:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬
There is only one way that we can overcome evil with good. We must recognize there is no goodness in us. So it is only when we allow the life of Jesus Christ and His goodness to dwell in us that we can overcome. May we humble ourselves to yield complete authority to Him in our lives and all of decisions.

10/13/19

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord…” Hos. 6:3‬ ‭KJV
There are so many things we don’t know or cannot understand now. There are great questions of suffering and loss. But if we continue to follow Christ, if we are faithful to the end, the time is coming when all will be made clear.‬‬ May God help us now, to simply trust Him, to believe that in His great power and love, He is working all things for His glory and for our eternal good.

10/12/19

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
When Jesus truly saves a person we are brought into newness of life. A new start, a new heart, a new life are all made available to us. But so often we hinder ourselves because we won’t let go of the old! May God help us to let go of old things that weigh us down and allow His new work in us to continue each day.

10/11/19

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace…”‭‭.  Jn‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Our only real peace is in a daily abiding relationship with Christ. Many lack peace because their religion is hit and miss, or they do not abide in Him Who is our peace. May God help us to receive His Word daily so we can learn to abide and have His peace fill our hearts.
