Part 1 ”The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: He gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.“ Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬. These words reveal God’s attitude towards struggling people of all generations. He Who created us knows how weak we are and how prone we are to wander. He knows the damage and separation that sin causes and the deep wounds it inflicts upon the soul. And at times, the consequences of sin may cause us to be an outcast. But what does it mean to be an outcast? Sometimes great outward sin can cause people to become outcasts from society. Many are the souls who have felt the grief of being cast out of churches and religious fellowships because of not conforming to certain ideas of men. And most people, at some time in life, experience the pain of being cast out from human relationships that were once dear. But often, individuals begin to consider themselves outcasts when they have failed or are going through times of depression. They feel separated from others because of what they are going through. These are perhaps the most difficult ones to gather because it usually involves us forgiving ourselves. But let us praise our God, that He is able to reach to the deepest valley or the furthest country and reach the outcast. And in His great mercy, He is still able to gather them in to His family.
