Most people tend to neglect God when things are going well. Prosperity can become one of the biggest hindrances to spiritual life. But when difficulties come, when health fails, when our hearts are broken, then we humbly look to God. And then we are thankful for the ‘affliction’ that turned our hearts back to God.
