“Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: But a good word maketh it glad.” Proverbs‬ ‭12:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Today, we have multitudes around us, both in the world and in the church, who are weighed down by a heavy heart. Fear grips the hearts of many. For others, anxiety has robbed the joy of life. Confusion about the things going on in our world hangs like a dark, heavy cloud over many souls. A sense of hopelessness has crept in to many lives. And if there is ever a time when God’s true people should be able to offer a word of hope, it is in this day! Just think how many people God brings across our pathway. There are so many people who need to hear a ‘good word’. Proverbs 15:23 reminds us that , “…a word spoken in due season, how good is it!” Today is that due season for someone around us. Let us be those faithful witnesses to the blessed hope we have in Jesus. Let’s tell them of our Saviour Who is mighty to save and mighty to keep. Let us offer a good word to some heavy heart.
