“He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defence; I shall not be moved.” Psalms‬ ‭62:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬. What a wonderful thing it is when we reach the place that all of our hope is in Jesus Christ. The words ‘He Only’ speak of a level of trust and spiritual maturity where we realize that trying to depend on anyone or anything else is in vain, because we know as the song says, ‘All other ground is sinking sand’. Far too often, believers struggle because they are still trying to depend on other things. We imagine that we can depend upon the stability of a church or institution of men. To some degree, many try to depend on their own righteousness or their good works for salvation. And then, for their spiritual defense, people try to depend on their good sense, as if they are going to outwit the enemy. But let us be sure, that ONLY CHRIST can meet these needs for our souls!
