”Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭30‬ ‭KJV‬‬. As Jesús explains this Parable of the Tares in later verses, He makes very clear that there will be a final gathering. When that time comes there will be no other chances and judgment will follow. The tares are those called children of the devil. They are the ones who have rejected Christ and chosen sin as their way of life. They are offensive to God and to all that is right. They are those who chose their own way rather than following Jesus. And they will be gathered to be cast into a furnace of fire. But thank God, at the same time, another gathering takes place. The wheat, or children of the kingdom, will be gathered also. These are the ones who have been gathered into God’s family and His kingdom. They are the righteous ones who will then receive their eternal rewards. There is coming a day for all of us when we will be gathered. Are we ready for that day? Have we repented of all sin and let Jesus be Saviour and Lord of our life? Nothing else will matter in that day.
