“Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.”
‭‭Psa‬ ‭63:7‬ ‭The psalmist is speaking from past experience. He has often run to God as his refuge and found the help he needed. Now he goes again and rejoices in the same. May we find that same experience in Christ, that He truly is our help in time of need and rejoice in Him.

“You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation.” Ex‬ ‭15:13‬ When God redeems us, He promises also to lead and guide us. We are saved to follow Jesus. And no matter where He calls us to, His mercy will overshadow us and He will give us His own strength to enable us to follow in the right way.

“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
‭‭Rom‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭One of the ways to know that we have truly believed in Christ, that we have saving faith in our heart, is when our belief creates in us a desire for righteousness and we are seeking to live a righteous life. True belief is much more than verbal confession, it is a heart and life that pursues righteousness.

Testing

“Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.” Psa‬ ‭25:4-5‬ The only person God will teach His ways, is the one who desires to walk and live in His ways. May our hearts be seeking to find and open to receive all that God wants to teach us.

So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” II Kgs‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭When our spiritual eyes are open to perceive the reality of this spiritual conflict, we will not fear! We will be encouraged because the forces of Heaven with us are far greater, far more powerful than anything that is against us. With Jesus, we are on the winning side!

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
‭‭Ja‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭ Humility is always the first step for us to find the help we need from God. We must humble ourselves to admit our need, confess that we can’t do it on our own, and then humbly ask God to help us. He is always ready to lift up and help the humble soul.

“…He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;” Lu‬ ‭4:18‬ This is why our merciful Heavenly Father sent His Son Jesus to this world. To heal the brokenness, to restore our spiritual vision and to loose the souls that are bound. The good news is, He is still doing those things today!

“In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.” Psa‬ ‭56:11‬ When we truly put our faith and trust in God, we discover that He loves us and holds our life in His hands. God is greater than any man and His power exceeds all other powers. The more we learn of and trust Him, the less we will fear.

“And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.”
‭‭I Cor‬ ‭13:3‬ No matter what we may try to do good, if we don’t do it in love, it means nothing. All that we do should come from love to God and love to others. But love is not a sentimental feeling. Rather it is choosing to glorify God and to do what is best (spiritually) for others.
